National Custodial Workers’ Recognition Day

October 2 is National Custodial Workers’ Recognition Day, a day in which we recognize and show appreciation to our custodians, assistant custodians and maintenance workers who work tirelessly each day to ensure the smooth operation of our schools and office buildings.

These hard-working men and women not only keep our sites clean, safe and well-maintained, but enrich their schools and workplaces with their dedication, enthusiasm and humour.

Their service has always been essential to the smooth running of our schools, but especially now during this current pandemic as we work to ensure that the necessary health and safety protocols are in place to keep our students and staff, healthy and safe.

On National Custodial Workers’ Recognition Day, the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board extends a sincere thank you to our dedicated custodians, assistant custodians and maintenance workers for all they do to build community and Nurture Hope in our schools.
